Summoner (Master Summoner); Drow



Self-Interested Preface: I am way into this build!  This is a master summoner (already overpowered) who is a drow with lots of bonuses to summoning and planar binding that is meant to have a summoned demon pal at all times.  The character has high CHA and Diplomacy, as well as Disguise so they can keep their drowhood and their summoned bodyguard a secret.  This character's eidolon is meant to be a second elf to lend credibility to the character being a non-drow elf, and also to assist with early-game skill rolls.  This is the first build I've posted so far that includes a by-level skill chart!  It may be denoted in some of the other skill-chart-featured builds, but a (+) means a skill point purchase.  The part I was looking most forward to if I ever played this character was demon negotiations.  Something to note, though, that I didn't account for (because I didn't know when I created the build) is that your character still needs a way to communicate with summoned monsters to command them.  That means this character will need a Headband of Vast Intellect +2 with Handle Animal as the skill and/or a permanency'd Tongues to be viable.

This build also includes a few summoner feat descriptions, a chart for evolved summon monster and a spell list copied and truncated from Treantmonk's Mastering The Malconvoker.  I have a better, more relevant spell list now, but it includes a bunch of information I had to purchase to obtain so I'm not going to post it here.

Master Summoner’s Lesser Eidolon
(The roleplaying intention regarding this eidolon is that it is another elf traveling with the disguised drow.)
The Master Summoner’s Lesser Eidolon, due to its archetype-weakened nature, starts out extremely useful as a watchhound, healer and backup wand-user but quickly and sharply drops in capability.  It should be equipped with low-level wands and kept out for utility purposes until its abilities are no longer necessary.  At level 6 it can use the Aid Another action to assist with Diplomacy during negotiations.  At level 10 it gains blindsense which due to your telepathic link with the eidolon keeps you from having to summon creatures for that purpose.

Summon Monster Templates and Modifiers 


Augment Summoning
Each creature summoned (by a Summon spell) gains +4 STR and CON for the duration of the spell.

Evolved Summon Monster
Grants one evolution point to a creature summoned via Summon Monster (in this case Summoning Mastery) to select one-point evolutions per amount of times this feat is selected.  These points may be divided as desired among summoned monsters.  Only creatures medium-sized and larger may benefit from evolutions which add or enhance attacks.

Summon Evil Monster
Applies Fiendish template, which grants:
+1 CR (if creature’s CR is already 5+)
Darkvision 60’
Spell resistance equal to the creature’s CR+5

Smite Good (Su)

Once per day, the fiendish creature may smite a good-aligned creature. As a swift action, the creature chooses one target within sight to smite. If this target is good, the creature adds its Charisma bonus (if any) to attack rolls and gains a damage bonus equal to its HD against that foe. This effect persists until the target is dead or the creature rests.

Smite Bias (Su)

Once per day, the counterpoised creature may smite a chaotic evil, chaotic good, lawful evil, or lawful good-aligned creature. As a swift action, the creature chooses one target within sight to smite. If this target is subject to Smite Bias, the creature adds its Charisma bonus (if any) to attack rolls and gains a damage bonus equal to its HD against that foe. This effect persists until the target is dead or the creature rests.
